Then you have come to the right place!

Drugs vs Supplements
I have divided the information on weight loss aids two sections: drugs and supplements. This section focuses on drugs or medications that are commonly used for weight loss. For information on supplements,

The "drugs" discussed in this section are medications that require a prescription from a physician. These medications are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, not all of the medications that are used for weight loss have been approved by the FDA for that purpose.
The most frequently prescribed medications for weight loss are Phentermine and Glucophage, or Metformin.
- Phentermine
Phentermine is an appetite suppressant. Phentermine is often combined with a certain class of antidepressant or with 5 hydroxytryptophan for improved effect.
- Phen-Pro
Phen-Pro is a combination of Phentermine and the anti-depressant Prozac. Prozac extends the appetite-suppressant effect of Phentermine.
- Glucophage
Glucophage is a drug that is frequently prescribed for diabetics to help control blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity. By doing so, it also helps people lose weight.
